Hands-on Activities for English Language Learners (ELLs)

 Hands-on activities are essential for students (especially English language learners). Exploring the materials and connecting the new learning help students scaffold and comprehend new concepts.

Hands-on angles lesson (math)

Echevarria et al. (2008) explain that “English learners make more rapid progress in mastering content objectives when they are provided with multiple opportunities to practice with hand-on materials and/or manipulatives” (p.139).
